The problem

The bridge went to the lab on a paper slip. Two weeks later the patient calls to ask if it's ready, nobody knows, and when the lab's bill arrives nobody remembers which patient it was for.

The order fills itself from the plan

A new lab order takes the patient, the teeth (24-26), the work - a zirconia bridge, an e.max crown - the VITA shade, the lab, and the due date, which starts a week after the sent date. Start it from a crown, bridge or implant line in the treatment plan and the patient, tooth and work are already filled in.

Owners and admins enter the lab's cost on the order, and it's recorded as an expense under Dental labs in Finance. Change the cost and the expense follows; cancel the order and it's removed. Doctor share can take each dentist's lab costs off before their percentage.
